Here's a particularly nice early jug. It's copper Luster or Lustre (as the British spell it). It has raised designs which are hand painted. On each side is a rose and in the center beneath the spout is a man and woman.
It measures 4 3/4" high and 5 1/8" wide at the widest point (with spout and handle). The colors are really nice the bluish green band looks great against the copper lustre. The roses have a lovely off red color. The condition is very good with only the expected sign of slight wear. There's a lot going for this sweet early jug.
