This is an extremely quality intricately carved and engraved white pearl button from the 18th century Georgian period. The pearl is embellished with blue steel flower petals, a gilded brass star, and a bezel-set paste jewel. It measures 1 & 3/8" and has a (looks like a natural defect) hole on the back. Otherwise, it it in very condition. (This button appears in the Vivienne Ertell book The Colorful World of Buttons.)
