This is a mid-19th century hand painted portrait under glass of a Mughal Raj in all his finery. Tiny bits of red and green on his creamy silk garment are probably rubies and emeralds, bordering a field of yellow posies. The portrait is in excellent condition--not always the case with these small souvenirs. It is set in sterling silver under glass and measures a hair less than 7/8".
