These two are quite the perfect pair and complement each other beautifully. One is hand painted on a warm background of a creamy yellow and the other is on soft sea foam green background. One has white roses with a hint of yellow and the other has yellow roses with a hint of white. The leaves and stems are muted mixtures of green hues and the stems are done in a milky brown color. The artist painted the roses in different stages of opening illustrating the life cycle of the flower. A slightly scalloped gold trim edge completes these two delicate plates. Artist has signed 'E.C. Dowe' on the front of both plates,There are no chips, hairlines or cracks; manufacturing anomalies do exist, the occasional tiny iron speck, dust 'bump' in the glaze, etc. These would look wonderful in a two plate rack on any wall!
