The artist has chosen a wonderful pink color for the background of this plate. Upon it he has painted blackberry or some type of berry limbs with small white flowers with yellow centers. He has accented the painting by adding two yellow butterflies in flight. You can almost feel the anticipation of their landing on the flowers. This plate has a gold rim applied, which helps accent the yellow in the flowers and the butterflies. This plate is in excellent condition with no cracks, chips or crazing.

The artist “A. Hening” has signed the back of the plate and has also date it 1886.
