José Cotacachi is well known as one of the finest weavers in Ecuador. He learned weaving from his father at the early age of 9 in the same loom he still works at his workshop-home. All through his life he has been learning and creating new designs he fabricates with true passion. Jose weaves unique designs with special attention to quality, he is one of the very few who still uses natural dyes from plants and seeds.
