Petitot
A large French 1930 art deco chandelier in nickel plated solid brass or bronze by Hubert Petitot holding a bowl in clear frosted moulded-pressed glass. The 'bronzier' Alexandre Petitot started his company in 1878. His son Hubert took over in 1917. Together with Hettier & Vincent they became one of the largest producers of French art deco lighting in the 30s. The chandelier on offer has a bowl with a diameter of 45 cm (about 17-3/4"). This model was created and produced for Petitot by Muller freres and was made in a 40 and 45 cm diameter version. The pendant on offer is the large one. I do have a second identical one listed in a separate ad. This sale is for one pendant light only. The total height of the chandelier is 68 cm (26-3/4 inches).
The pendant is in very good condition. One insignificant small chip on the inside of the rim (see last two pictures). I have re-nickeled the mounting. The fixture is rewired and holds an American standard socket. For European countries I will place a E27 one.
