Back in the early 1900s Chicago was in it's hay day with companies such as Old Rose Distilling Co. who started out with just one retail store in 1902 but quickly expanded to many more. They advertised heavily and some of these old advertising pieces can still be found. This plate may have been given to loyal customers as a Christmas or New Year bonus with their purchases. The porcelain plate is pretty large, measuring 9 1/4 inches in diameter. The border which shows the calendar around the outside in three month segments with a pretty Art Nouveau looped style with floral addition.
The back of the plate has no manufacturers marking. I did notice two shallow flat chips on the resting rim of the back. Otherwise, the plate is in good condition and the colors are still very strong. I will carefully wrap for secure transit. Check my shop for other items of interest and send an email if you have any questions.
