A beautiful c. 1815 English Regency ormolu and patinated bronze candelabra in the French Empire taste after Thomas Hope. Classical robed woman stands atop a square plinth decorated with a classical mask. She holds a vase in her arms from which issues a single candle socket - the nozzle and bobeche in the form of a flower. Exceptional detail and execution. Large size - figure alone measures 22 3/4" tall. Extremely heavy. Excellent condition. Shade not included.
