From Bohemian-chic to tailored and timeless, this incredibly unique vintage bracelet will be a new favorite in your wardrobe.
As you can see, this cuff-style bracelet has a lot of substance and some seriously bold style.
This is another piece of jewelry that came out of an estate of a Colonel stationed in Berlin during WWII.
His wife's collection of jewelry from all over their travels is really amazing.
We have several posted and this is one of the beautiful pieces.
The bracelet, which measures over one inch wide, is a wonderful example of Middle Eastern design and features an intricate array of expertly crafted details.
It is rendered in a middle-grade silver between .750 and .850.
The bracelet exhibits several unidentified maker's marks but has been professionally tested to ensure the purity of the silver.
You will notice that the bracelet is embellished with a extraordinary amount of delicate, applied shapes and filigree.
While some of the filigree is smooth, other areas are comprised of "cabled" wire which gives it another degree of dimension and texture.
The center of the bracelet is truly breathtaking; the face is adorned with stunning Arabic calligraphy.
The bracelet joins with an old-style pin clasp and opens smoothly on a hinge on the opposite side.
A dark layer of age expected oxidization pervades the interior and exterior of the bracelet as well as several dark spots.
We think this gives the wide array of applied decoration a wonderfully dynamic and rich look.
Despite the darkening and a fair amount of wear, this extraordinarily unique bracelet remains in good antique condition overall.
Interior circumference is 7 1/4", Bracelet is 1 3/4" wide (at face) and 3/8" at narrowest point, Face rises 1/4" from wrist
