Welcome. This mirror is a charming piece of history where the back is as noteworthy as the front. A 1" beveled solid wood frame was once apinted dark brown or maybe black. Over the years the paint has rubbed in the "high" spots to show underlying mellowed wood patina one only sees with age. Wonderful old handmade nails hold the sides together but as shown in one pic there are a few gaps. The back is 2 old slabs of solid wood held in palce with handmade nails or handmade metal staples. Along the edges are spots of silver loss but the center is amazingly perfect. This is not flimsy shabby chic but rather a true piece of American history. Overall ~8x6x1". Interior measurement of frame which is the size of the visible mirror ~6.25x4.25".
