This light brown antique mohair wig measures approximately 4 1/4" lengthwise and 4" widthwise along its interior net cap. It belonged to a German bisque head doll that was manufactured circa 1885-on. The wig remains sturdy, though awry and thinned on its backside. It is detailed in braids that have been secured to the back. The wig's original two pale pink ribbons remain intact. I am including photos of a Handwerck head, size 4, modeling the wig. The head is approximately 6 1/2" from its neck socket to its crown opening, and approximately 12 1/4" around the widest part of its forehead. This wig may be perfect for a German bisque head character child doll.
