The gold mounted egg is covered with a very fine translucent sky blue enamel over a moiré guilloche designs.

Guilloché is a decorative technique in jewelry making, when the surface of an object is mechanically engraved with a repetitive pattern.

The egg is marked with 56 zolotnik old Russian gold standard (14K) on the suspension ring.

Length of the egg without the ring is 16 mm (10/16 in.)
