A very heavy pair of cast iron bookends with sitting camels. They are a later recast of a design originally produced by Connecticut Foundry in 1928. They have that orientalist vision from the 1920’s. The cast iron has been coated with aged bronze patina.
The bookends are unmarked. They have paper backed felt on the bottom.
6” (15.2 cm) long x 2” (5.1 cm) deep x 5” (12.7 cm) tall. Weighs 5 lbs 10.1 oz (2555 g)
The patina is in very good condition. The edges of the felts on the bottom show some wear but the felts are still in good condition and firmly attached to the bookends.
A great pair of vintage bookends to use in your office, bedroom or library.
