A pair of cast iron Art Deco bookends with a nude dancer dancing with a sash. The movement is very fluid and she looks as though she is in movement as you watch. The bookends have an aged copper patina and are quite heavy. The bases are flat and have no felts.
The bookends are unmarked.
MEASUREMENTS
5” (12.7 cm) wide x 2 ¾” (7.0 cm) deep x 5 3/8” (13.5 cm) tall. Weighs 4 lbs 4.4 oz (1940 g)
CONDITION
There are no breaks, dents, cracks or repairs. The patina shows oxidation with recessed areas a bit darker than raised areas. The edge of the base of one bookend shows a bit of patina loss.
A great pair of artistic Art Deco bookends that will hold up books with style and grace.
