A pair of heavy and ambitiously detailed bronze-clad bookends showing an umbrella-toting Crusoe with his trusty companions.
Robinson Crusoe carries a musket and umbrella and is surrounded by a goat, parrot, and palm trees. The bookends shine with a golden bronze finish and brilliant polychromes.
The bookends have old charcoal colored felts on the bases. A stamped mark on the back of each bookend reads “POMPEIAN BRONZE” with a copyright symbol in a circle. There are also red and gold foil labels on the bottom of each bookend that read, “MADE BY MASTER CRAFTSMEN POMPEIAN BRONZE”
