Coro's mid century cross link bracelet in luxurious rhodium plate combines invisibly set emerald green baguette rhinestones and clear pave chaton rhinestones in a tribute to Art Deco design. This rarely seen fully articulated nine link bracelet includes an emerald green baguette set fold over clasp and detachable safety chain.
The bracelet measures approximately 7 inches x 1 inch with a 1/4 inch profile or height. Baguettes are about 5 millimeters x 2 millimeters and pave chatons, 1 and 2 millimeters. Weight of the bracelet is a generous 68.6 grams.
Condition is excellent vintage. All components intact. All emerald green baguettes retain consistent color and outstanding sparkle / sheen. Some pave stones have minor age commensurate dim, not affecting the overall presentation. No missing, broken or dead stones. All links aligned and secure. No dents or improper bends. All rhodium plate intact, front and back. Fold over clasp and detachable safety chain secure. Clean. No damage / no repairs. Excellent vintage.
The bracelet is signed on the reverse of clasp with Pegasus holding a plate inscribed with "Coro" in familiar script underscored with "DES. PAT. PEND." There appears to have been no follow through as the design does not have a corresponding patent number. Brunialtis' book "American Costume Jewelry" suggests this mark was used occasionally in 1948. It has also been seen on some early 1950s jewelry as well. Circa 1948-1953.
