ART aka ART - MODE, founded by Arthur Pepper, created wonderful costume jewelry from circa 1950s-1970s. Interesting and unusual color combinations are often found in this company's work and the bracelet presented exemplifies the talent. Each of the links is comprised of double rows, artfully arranged with alternating chaton cup set rhinestones in champagne topaz and cinnamon citrine softened by triplets of faux seed pearls. ART doubles up in creamy autumnal colors coordinated with cream. The gold tone bracelet features a fold over clasp and detachable safety chain.
The bracelet measures approximately 6 3/4 inches x 5/8 inch with a 1/4 inch profile or height. Chaton rhinestones are about 5 millimeters; simulated pearls, 2 millimeters. Weight of the bracelet is 39.7 grams.
Condition is excellent vintage. All components intact. All rhinestones retain colors and sparkle. All imitation seed pearls intact, retaining nacre and luster. All links aligned and secure. All gold tone finish intact, front and back. Fold over clasp and safety chain secure Clean. No damage / no repairs. Excellent vintage.
The bracelet is signed on the reverse of the female end link: "ART" followed by copyright symbol. Circa 1960s.
