This is definitely a handmade mold – what fun! Someone worked really hard to carve it out to make egg shaped sugar drops or candy, maybe for Easter. Each half of the mold measures 11 ¾” long and 1 5/8” wide; when the two pieces are placed together to shape the molds, they are 1 ¼” thick, making a little egg that would be about 1" high and 3/4" at its widest. There is a hole at the top of each piece, but there is also a small carved out area, maybe to slide a clamp into? There is faded handwriting in a few areas that is hard to decipher – but adds to its character. It is in expected condition, with a few nicks and stains, but nothing distracting.

This would be a wonderful addition to your country/farm kitchen decor! Please contact us if you have any questions.
