This listing is for a GORGEOUS - c.1870-80 Boston Sandwich Glass Lamp - White Cut to Cranberry Overlay Kerosene Oil Lamp. It has been electrified.
The foot is a two step marble base. The pillar and base are embossed with cast brass decorations. Cased glass.
We purchased this in the late 1980's. It came from an estate in Providence, RI. This is the first time it has been listed for sale. This was part of our personal collection. It came from the estate of a true Sandwich Glass collector. This wonderful gentleman's goal was to purchase everything in Barlow/Kaiser's books. He almost did!!
This is something every wealthy home during the Victorian Period would have owned.
