Great old dome top oval roaster complete with inner white enamel tray measures 18" across the handles by 12" wide by 7" deep (not including the handle). Outstanding deep cobalt blue color swirled with white and with black trim to the edges and handles. It also has wire cover locks on each end and a metal steam vent on the cover that can be swung to the side to vent steam out of the roaster before opening the cover. A nearly identical one is shown in "The Collector's Guide to Granite Ware Book 2" by Helen Greguire on page 123. Condition is excellent with a 2 1/2" scrape to the bottom but no other large dents, large chips or losses, and with some normal usage wear, notably to the black edges of the lid & the gutter around the dome of the lid. This large impressive piece displays beautifully with great gloss, size and color and of course, it's useful as well as collectible. It definitely big enough to cook and serve a good sized turkey.
