REGENS lighter, 2 ¼” tall , 1 ¼” ½”, side squeeze type, Regens Lighters were advertised in the United States from December 1935 until December 1956. The first Regens model with slotted windguard pattern appears in U.S. advertising in 1939. Marked on the underside of this lighter is Made in USA Pat. 1896140. Quite possibly a Regens manufactured in New York they usually have a slotted windguard pattern and their fuel tank pulls apart to refill. See photos they are included as part of the description. Nickel plated brass, there is wear from being used and storage. Light scuffs and scratches and brass is showing, (see photos) however pattern is still visible. Looks good for its age and years of use. Lighter has not been tested or fired by us, it has no lighter fluid.
