Block Lighter Circa 1940-50 - image 1 of 8

Block Lighter, 2” tall, ¾” by 5/8”. Please read the full description and view all photos they are included as part of the description. Copper and brass were in limited supply after WWII. Aluminum was plentiful. Many companies got into manufacturing 'aluminum block lighters'. These were primarily machined from a solid aluminum block shaping it and drilling holes as necessary. They were typically comprised of very few parts and all pretty simple and made of aluminum - except the striker wheel, springs, and screws for holding the wheel and flint in place. This particular lighter has no manufacturer name and the design is plain with no detailing or pattern. Case is in very good used condition. See photos.

Lighter has been cleaned and polished. Lighter has not been fired or tested, it has no fuel.
