Humidor or storage container, cylindrical in shape with slight dome lift off lid. Please read the full description and view all of the photos as they are part of the description. 6 ½” tall to the lid knob, 4” diameter. Container has been polished and sealed. No damage, NO dents, NO scratches. Lid fits securely and tight. One inch band of five engraved rings decoration around the middle of the humidor. Inside is very clean, no makers mark, circa 1930. There is a white tile ring around the lid knob where it is fastened in the interior that serves as a humidification element. See all photos all sides are shown
Copper was used for cigar storage because it was basically inert in flavoring the tobacco, and it retained humidity quite effectively. It was a nonreactive metal and protected against mold and mildew.
