Bremner Wafers tin originally would have contained 12 ounces of wafer. Please read the full description and view all of the photos as they are part of the description. Empty tin is 6 ½” tall, 6” in diameter, has lift off lid. The tin has been cleaned ad waxed. Above average condition for its age. Light scratch on lid. Small chips around lid rim, well they are inevitable, it happened when taking lid off. Nuts, bolts and screws have not been stored in it. It was in the early ‘30s, the company introduced its iconic green tins.
The Bremner's company was modestly successful prior to the wafers invention. However, when his sons took over the business, the Bremner Brothers Biscuit Company, circa 1905 they developed the Bremner Wafer, which is still sold today. Printed on the front of the tin is “Corp.1924 by Bremner Bros.”
