Art Deco Period Herend Porcelain Figure Nude Male Olympic Torch Tertia Jozsef Gondos Hungary - image 1 of 15

Beautiful Art Deco porcelain figure from Herend Porcelain Manufactory (Hungary). Mostly white porcelain with muted hand painted colors. József Gondos (1909-1987) designed the piece in the 30's and it has an incised mark on the bottom, along with the word Tertia in blue # 5797.

The nude male is kneeling with an Olympic torch in his hand with a couple of sashes draped around him. As seen in Dr Győző Sikota's reference book, Art of Herend Porcelain, page 197. It is in excellent condition and measures 9 5/8 tall x 6 1/4" long x 2 17/8" wide.
