Patricia Funt is the daughter of Allen Funt, creator of Candid Camera, the first of the reality shows on TV that are so popular today. What many people don’t know about Allen Funt was his great interest in art and antiques. Patricia recalls the many weekend antiquing trips she made as a child with her Dad and family. In fact, she had her own collection of antique doll house miniatures as a young girl and still loves them today.Patricia's antique dealing really started in the 1980’s with her shop - Patricia Funt Gallery on East 78th Street, off Madison Avenue in New York City. It was a fun and eclectic mix of antique objects, the shop was a favorite haunt for a number of celebrities, socialites and decorators.
After marrying an Englishman in the early 1990's, they moved, started a family and opened a new shop - Patricia Funt Antiques, on Main Street in New Canaan, Connecticut.
Today, Patricia is selling by appointment, at antique shows and of course, on Ruby Lane with the same fun and eclectic mix of antiques she has always enjoyed.
Her husband, Ken Oxman, is an author/writer/broadcaster and when he's not writing, he's helping out with Patricia Funt Antiques.
